Catalytix Inc. is a strategic planning and transformation-management group that assists economic development agencies, government entities, foundations and related organizations in the development and implementation of forward thinking strategies for the long-term growth of creative communities. Unlike traditional consulting firms, Catalytix partners with clients to collect, analyze and apply a wide range of data regarding the knowledge sector and its profound impact on economic growth. It is a spin-off company from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz School of Public Policy based in Pittsburgh, with offices in Washington D.C. and Toronto.
Catalytix has developed a wide range of products and services to help regions plan, implement and benefit from strategic initiatives based on The Creative Class Theory of Economic Development. The product line is modular in nature – with various options for performance measurement, creative asset analysis and regional transformation facilitation.
The consultants help build energy and consensus for the program by bringing new and dissimilar groups of stakeholders together to take part in the planning process. Catalytix maximizes the value of its Regional Creative Economy Blueprints by working with local stakeholders and “champions” to identify and secure the human, physical and financial resources required to actuate and accelerate the implementation of all major program initiatives.
Catalytix has successfully completed creative economy initiatives for a number of regional clients across North America, including Albuquerque, Montreal, Orlando, Phoenix, Providence and Syracuse, as well as the states of Iowa and Michigan.
