• Work On Wilmington (WOW) 2026 Service Project Application

****The application deadline is Friday, October 10****

Work on Wilmington is an annual day of service that brings together hundreds of volunteers to simultaneously complete service projects across our community during this incredible four-hour event. Work on Wilmington 2026 will make its impact on April 18, and we aim to make it the biggest and best year yet as this is the 20th Anniversary of WOW!

As in past years, we are seeking projects that will meet specific needs and provide tangible benefits for our community. Projects will only be accepted from area non-profits, local governmental organizations, and schools in New Hanover County.

Projects must be able to be completed in four hours and create a visible, positive impact. They also must be unlikely to happen without the help of Work on Wilmington volunteers. Projects that require large numbers of volunteers are preferred. For your benefit (and ours) projects that require potentially dangerous work (such as roofing, use of scaffolding, heavy use of sophisticated power tools, and excavation equipment) are not suitable for WOW. However, this shouldn’t limit your creativity. We are eager to tackle projects that require ingenuity, creativity, and teamwork.

Disclaimer: Application and site visit inspections are for evaluation purposes only and do not indicate approval. The 2026 application opens on July 1, 2025 and the final day to apply is Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
