Prosperous Community. \n\n \n\nDuring the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce?s annual Economic Scorecard breakfast\, we consider the economic future of New Hanover County and what?s next for southeastern North Carolina. \n\n \n\nFrom rapid growth to attracting and retaining top talent\, to cutting-edge breakthroughs in life sciences and financial technology\, to welcoming new companies\, to managing a boom in tourism\, this community has grown and adapted to prepare for a brighter future for all citizens. \n\n \n\nJoin us on December 1 for a morning of future-focused conversation led by regional economist Dr. Adam Jones featuring panelists including:\n\n \n\n- Holly Childs\, president & CEO of Wilmington Downtown\, Inc.\n\n- Natalie English\, president & CEO of the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce\n\n- Scott Satterfield\, CEO of Wilmington Business Development\n\n \n\nThese industry experts will share insights on how our community must continue investing in our people\, places\, and public safety for businesses to continue competing and growing. \n\n \n\nAttendees will walk away with a better understanding of New Hanover County?s economic performance and competitiveness compared with other metro areas with similar competitive assets. Our event will also highlight how our region performed through the global pandemic and critical insights into our economic recovery.\n\n \n\nTickets are available for $45 for members of the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce and $55 for nonmembers.\n\n \n\nA breakfast buffet including scrambled eggs\, sausage\, bacon\, country ham\, roasted Yukon potatoes\, oatmeal\, and assorted pastries will be available to all attendees from 7:30 - 8:00 am. Our program will begin promptly at 8:00 am.
