DESCRIPTION:The vision of the African American Business Council is to strategically position black businesses for inclusion and success through opportunity\, education\, exposure\, entrepreneurship\, economic development\, and public policy advocacy. We are committed to leading\, educating\, and advocating to grow African American-owned businesses and to create and grow a thriving African American middle class in Wilmington.\n\nThe Wilmington Chamber's African American Business Council theme in 2023 is Moving Your Business Forward with Education towards Growth.\n\n \n\nOur co-chairs have outlined the following schedule of meetings and topics for 2023 below. \n\n \n\n\n	January 18: Goal Setting\n	February 15: Tax Season Prep\n	March 30: Intentional Collisions\n	April 19: Marketing and Advertising\n	May 17: Prioritizing and Professionalism\n	June TBD: Intentional Collisions\n	July TBD: Goal Setting Check In\n	August 16: Risk Assessment\n	September 20: 5 Cs of Credit\n	October 3: Intentional Collisions\n	November 15: Holiday Bazaar\n	December TBD: Mental Health & Wellness \n\n\n \n\n11:30am-12:00pm - Bring your own lunch\; networking and connecting\n\n12:00-1:00pm - Introductions\, Guest Speaker\, Chamber Announcements\n\n\n\nAPRIL\n\nLJ Design Studio will provide business owners with tools on how to build a brand that connects through branded design and social media branding. LJ Design Studio will give tips on brand equity and the essence of a good brand strategy. We hope that you will leave confidently knowing where to begin in establishing or reestablishing your brand identity and ready to leverage your brand to its fullest potential.\n\n\n\nAll Chamber members AND non-members are welcome to attend the meeting. \n\n\n\nThe meeting this month will be held at Channel powered by Live Oak Bank.
