SUMMARY:2024 - African American Business Council Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The vision of the African American Business Council is to strategically position black businesses for inclusion and success through opportunity\, education\, exposure\, entrepreneurship\, economic development\, and public policy advocacy. We are committed to leading\, educating\, and advocating to grow African American-owned businesses and to create and grow a thriving African American middle class in Wilmington.\n\n\n\nDuring our meeting on April 17th\, we will hear a presentation on "Prioritizing Growth Strategies and Creating an Action Plan" from Ramona Farrell owner of Farrell Insights.  This will be an interactive session with group discussion and activities. By the end of the presentation\, you will have a better focus on what growth strategies should take priority for your company and an action plan to help you achieve your goals.\n\n \n\nRamona is an independent forensic accounting consultant and business advisor and the founder/owner of Farrell Insights LLC\, a company that brings calm and clarity to chaos and provides avenues for closure. She holds a master's degree of business administration (MBA) and is a certified family business advisor (CFBA)\, certified fraud examiner (CFE) and certified financial crimes investigator (CFCI). With more than 20 years of diversified business consulting and forensic accounting experience\, Ramona specializes in partner/shareholder disputes and fraud related financial investigations and consults with family-owned and other privately-owned businesses on growth strategies and other ownership/management issues. In addition\, Ramona was an Adjunct Faculty member\, previously with California State University-Sacramento and with Furman University in Greenville\, SC\, where she taught Business Communications and Ethics courses. She also speaks professionally for associations and organizations on several topics including Professional Development\, Behavioral Ethics\, and Fraud Awareness and Detection.\n\nAll Chamber members AND non-members are welcome to attend the meeting\, but registration is required!
