DESCRIPTION:This event is only open to current Leadership Wilmington Alumni Council members or graduates of the Leadership Wilmington program.\n\n\n\nJoin fellow alumni on this trip to our local landfill. Have you ever wondered what happens to your trash once it leaves your home or office? Where does it go? How does our waste get processed? What can I do to be a better citizen when it comes to waste and recycling? How does New Hanover County environmental management compare to others in our region and across the state?\n\n\n\nThis tour will include:\n\n	Site history\n	Landfill design\, monitoring\, and maintenance\n	Leachate treatment system\n	Construction and demolition debris recycling system\n	In-vessel food waste composting system\n	Waste diversion and recycling efforts\n\nThe 10:00am-11:00am tour has a limited 15 spots. Register today! If spots are full\, we will run an 10:00am-11:00am tour.
