DESCRIPTION:All Chamber members are welcome to attend the meeting. \n\nJoin us for a presentation from Genna Wirth\, Executive Director at Voyage\, on The Voyage Summer Employment Program. \n\n\n\nThe Voyage Summer Employment Program is an 8-week summer jobs program that provides in-depth workforce development for 14-19-year-old students facing barriers to employment through individualized job skills training\, financial literacy classes\, career readiness certification\, ongoing mentoring\, and paid work experiences. \n\n \nGenna Wirth is the Executive Director of Voyage. She was excited to be named the ED in late June of 2019 after working with Voyage since 2016. Her journey with Voyage began through an internship at UNCW while completing a Bachelor's degree in political science. That internship turned into three additional internships as she worked to complete a Master's degree in Public Administration at UNCW\, focusing in nonprofit management and public management. Genna truly feels that Voyage is the perfect platform for her to pursue her passion of helping others reach their potential and set themselves up for success. In her spare time\, Genna enjoys hanging out with her friends and family and going to the beach.\n\n\n\nLunch will be provided.\n\n\n\nThis event will take place in person at the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce located at 1 Estell Lee Place Wilmington\, NC 28401. Our guests are welcome to park in our parking lot or at the Wilmington Convention Center parking deck. If you must park in the deck\, please let a chamber staffer know so we can provide you with a complimentary parking voucher. Our building's main entrance faces the Cape Fear River and is accessed by passing through the gate to our building's left.
