SUMMARY:Community Read and Conversation: Meeting One
DESCRIPTION:Community Read & Conversation: Meeting One Empathy & Education\n\nJoin Good Shepherd Center to recognize National Homelessness Awareness Month with an evening of meaningful discussion and connection as we kick off Community Read & Conversation\, featuring There Is No Place for Us by Brian Goldstone. This first gathering\, hosted at Social Coffee & Supply Co.\, invites reflection and empathy as we explore the human side of housing insecurity through the stories shared in the book.\n\nGuided by Good Shepherd staff and discussion questions provided by the author\, this casual\, book-club style conversation encourages open dialogue\, personal insight\, and community connection. Together\, we'll reflect on how the themes of family\, resilience\, and belonging in There Is No Place for Us echo within our own Wilmington community.\n\nWhether you've finished the book or just started\, all are welcome to join the conversation. Come enjoy Social Coffee's beloved beverages and pastries and be entered into our "Readers Give Back" Raffle as a thank-you for taking part.\n\n\n\nTuesday\, November 18 | 6:00-7:00 PM | Social Coffee & Supply Co.\n\nThis event is free and open to the public.\n\nWe'll continue the conversation at Meeting Two: Connection & Action on Thursday\, December 4th at the WHQR Gallery\, where local experts and Good Shepherd leadership will explore how we can turn empathy into community action.
