DESCRIPTION:The June meeting of the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Committee will feature Congressman David Rouzer as the guest speaker. David Rouzer is a Republican politician who has served as the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 7th congressional district since 2015.\n\n\n\nBefore serving in Congress\, Rouzer worked in the private sector as a business development executive for several agricultural companies. He also served as a state senator in North Carolina's General Assembly from 2009 to 2013\, where he was a member of the Agriculture/Environment/Natural Resources and Appropriations/Base Budget committees.\n\n\n\nDuring his time in Congress\, Rouzer has focused on issues such as agriculture\, healthcare\, and national security. He currently serves on the House Committee on Agriculture and the House Committee on Homeland Security.\n\n\n\nThe Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Committee monitors legislative and regulatory matters at the local\, state\, and federal levels and advocates for the business interests of its members. \n\n\n\nThe June meeting will be held at the chamber office downtown.
