DESCRIPTION:The Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce invites members in good standing to attend its next Public Policy Committee meeting on Tuesday\, August 25\, from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. at the Chamber office.\n\n \n\nOur guest speakers include:\n\n \n\nBrian Clark\, Executive Director\, North Carolina State Ports Authority\n\nBrian Clark has served as Executive Director of the North Carolina State Ports Authority since 2021. He oversees the Port of Wilmington\, Port of Morehead City and Charlotte Inland Port\, including major infrastructure investments and plans to expand capacity and support long-term economic growth.\n\n \n\nMark Hairr\, Executive Director\, Wave Transit\n\nMark Hairr has more than 30 years of public-sector transportation experience\, with a background in planning\, policy and executive management. As Executive Director of Wave Transit\, he leads the region's public transportation system and will provide an update on transit and mobility issues impacting the Wilmington area.\n\n \n\nJeff Bourk\, A.A.E.\, MBA\, Airport Director\, Wilmington International Airport\n\nJeff Bourk has served as Airport Director at Wilmington International Airport since 2022\, bringing more than two decades of airport leadership experience. His career includes leading Branson Airport and managing operations at Portland International Jetport\, with a focus on infrastructure\, airport growth and expanding air service.\n\n\n\nThe Public Policy Committee serves as a forum for Chamber members to stay informed on legislative\, regulatory\, and community issues impacting southeastern North Carolina's business climate and economic competitiveness.\n\n \n\nThis meeting is open exclusively to current Chamber members.
