As Director of Events, Artis is responsible for creating and delivering engaging member experiences that deliver meaningful content and opportunities for the business community in southeastern North Carolina to connect.
Artis worked in the hospitality industry for nearly 20 years before joining the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce. Most recently, she worked as the Sales manager and Sales & Catering Coordinator at Lumina on Wrightsville Beach. Artis has also served as a Wilmington Chamber Ambassador for five years and earned Chamber Ambassador of the Month in April 2022 before joining this team.
Genia is a native of Wilmington, NC. In her personal time, she enjoys reading, traveling, sports, cooking, and spending time with her son and two grandchildren. Artis thoroughly enjoys working with the local youth to achieve “Discipline and Excellence through organized sports.” She also serves as treasurer of the William E. Murphy Foundation.
