• Public Policy Committee

  • The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce serves as the leading voice for business in southeastern North Carolina, working to build and maintain a business-friendly environment at the local, state, and federal levels.

Our Chamber actively monitors legislation and collaborates with Wilmington City Council, the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners, the New Hanover County School Board, the North Carolina General Assembly, and congressional leaders in Washington, D.C. to ensure that the interests of our business community are heard and represented in key public policy decisions.

We also provide a platform for meaningful dialogue on issues and policies that shape the future of our region. Through public policy forums, legislative receptions, and advocacy trips, members have valuable opportunities to engage directly with elected officials and stay ahead of emerging challenges that impact the business community.

The Public Policy Committee plays a central role in guiding the Chamber’s legislative and advocacy agenda. This volunteer group is composed of Chamber members with diverse backgrounds and expertise in public policy, economic development, workforce development, and elections at every level of government. Committee meetings are open to all Chamber members, ensuring broad participation and input as we work together to strengthen the voice of business in southeastern North Carolina.
