Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Launches New Morning Networking Event Series

Wilmington, N.C. - The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce has officially opened registration for Wilmington’s newest networking event series, Wake Up Wilmington. Wake Up Wilmington’s first event will be held on Wednesday, January 29th, from 7:30 am to 9:30 am and is being hosted and sponsored by Great Harvest Bread Company located at 5327 Oleander Dr. #100, Wilmington, NC 28403. This event is free for all Wilmington Chamber of Commerce members.

President & CEO, Natalie English, says, “Many of our Chamber members are looking for additional ways to network.  We hope that this new event series will provide the members of our organization a new avenue to build and develop relationships in addition, or as an alternative, to the traditional after-hours opportunity.”

The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce currently has over 1,000 business members. Each business counts as one chamber member regardless of the size of the company or the number of employees. Any employee of a member business is eligible to participate in events hosted by the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce.

“Our organization exists to serve the business community in this area. Like any other organization, we have to continue innovating to be successful and satisfy our members. Adding a new event that our members have been asking for only adds value to a chamber membership,” says English.

Wake Up Wilmington will include free time for attendees to mingle amongst themselves as well as a structured ice breaker program. Research has proven that people want to do business with people they know well before they look at advertisements to solve their problems. Networking allows chamber members to build professional connections, establish trust, and build businesses through new opportunities, increased knowledge, and the ever-so-valuable word-of-mouth advertising.
