Each year, one of the most important roles we play as a Chamber is ensuring the voice of Wilmington’s business community is heard where decisions are made. This May, we have two opportunities to do exactly that. Registration for our Washington, D.C. Fly-In closes at noon on Tuesday, April 14. If you are planning to attend, we encourage you to secure your spot now. This trip is one of the most direct ways we ensure Wilmington’s business community is represented in federal policy conversations that shape our economy and future growth.
On May 13–14, we will travel to Washington, D.C. for the Federal Economic Summit hosted by Thom Tillis and Richard Hudson. This two-day program brings together business leaders from across North Carolina for direct engagement with members of Congress, federal agencies, and policy experts. Conversations will focus on key priorities including infrastructure, workforce, trade, regulation, and long-term competitiveness. Just as important, this experience ensures Wilmington’s voice is part of broader national discussions and helps build relationships that support our region over time.
The week prior, on May 6, we will host our Advocacy Day in Raleigh. This one-day experience is designed to connect members directly with state leaders and provide insight into the policies shaping North Carolina’s business climate. Participants will take part in targeted meetings with legislators, a hosted lunch with a guest speaker, and attend the NC Chamber’s Government Affairs Reception alongside business leaders from across the state.
Both opportunities are designed to strengthen our collective voice and advance priorities that matter to our region. Space for each program is limited.
