The Wilmington Chamber's 156th Annual Meeting is typically the crowning event of our year, and we are looking forward to joining many of our members in person once again on February 16, from 5:00 to 7:30 pm.

Historically, this event has drawn more than 300 business and community leaders for a celebration of the chamber's many achievements over the last year. With the support of our 2022 Board Chair, Neal Andrew, the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce's highlights include:

                        • Recognition as the CACCE Chamber of the Year along with our president & CEO, Natalie English, as the CACCE Chamber Executive of the Year.
                        • Developing a small business-focused retention and expansion program (BRE) to fill a critical gap in our economic development ecosystem which supported $11,361,000 in new real estate, business, and private property investment and 133 new full-time jobs in New Hanover County.
                        • Graduating the Leadership Wilmington Class of 2022 and experienced a record number of applicants for the 2023 Class of Leadership Wilmington.
                        • Partnering with New Hanover County Schools to create a new Career and Leadership Development Academy for 7th grade students to teach students about fast-growing industries, in-demand jobs, education levels required, and rates of pay for each field. The program also includes leadership development and activities to develop professional skills.

This year, our event will kick off at 5:00 pm with a reception that includes beer, wine, hors d'oeuvres, and time to network before the show begins at 5:30 pm. At our event, you'll hear a keynote speech from Dr. James Johnson Jr., Distinguished Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Director of the Urban Investment Strategies Center at the UNC Kenan-Flagler School of Business in Chapel Hill, NC.

We'll also be recognizing this year's Duke Energy Lifetime Achievement in Business Award winner, Bill Cameron. The evening will end with an after-party featuring heavy hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and more time to connect with your fellow Chamber investors. We hope to see you Thursday, February 16, at the Wilson Center on the campus of Cape Fear Community College.

The deadline to sponsor this event is Friday, February 3, 2023.

Tickets are available to chamber members for $95 each and to nonmembers for $105 each.
