Direct Primary Care: A Strategic Advantage for Employers
As a business owner, whether you have 1 employee or 1,500, you’re likely feeling caught between the imperative to provide health benefits to your employees and the practical (and costly!) constraints that come with it.
In this Chamber Connections session, Dr. Lanier and wife, Marjorie—owners of Promina Health Direct Primary Care—will share an emerging model of care, offered right here in Wilmington, that businesses of any size can leverage as an affordable, stand-out health benefit, and help take care of the most important asset (your employees!).
You will leave this session with practical ways to rethink your approach to health benefits and maximize cost savings for both your organization and your employees.
About Promina Health:
Promina Health Direct Primary Care, founded in 2017 by family physician, Dr. Brian Lanier, is an independent family medicine practice located in Wilmington, NC. Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a model of care that makes the old new again, allowing patients to access comprehensive and personalized primary care services for an affordable flat monthly membership fee. In contrast to traditional primary care, DPC eliminates the need for insurance for routine medical services. Patients enjoy having a board-certified physician who sees them each visit, gets to know them, and is a text or phone call away any day or time, with no co-pays or co-insurance. For businesses, incorporating DPC into employee benefits can lead to a healthier and more productive workforce while potentially containing healthcare costs.
