About the Council:
The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce is launching the Supply Chain & Logistics Council to address critical challenges facing our supply chains. This initiative aims to bring together local industry leaders to collaboratively enhance supply chain resilience, drive economic growth, and sustain the prosperity of Wilmington’s business community.

Dr. Cem Canel
Dr. Cem Canel is a Professor of Operations Management at UNC Wilmington, specializing in production and operations management, quality management, and international operations. He holds a Ph.D. and MBA in Operations Management, as well as a Master’s in Industrial Engineering from the University of Houston, and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Isik School of Engineering in Istanbul, Turkey. Dr. Canel's expertise lies in operations planning, scheduling, and quality optimization, with a focus on improving efficiency in global business environments.

Dr. Drew Rosen
Dr. L. Drew Rosen is the Duke Energy/Gordon Hulbert Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management at UNC Wilmington, where he specializes in operations and project management. An internationally recognized lecturer and consultant, he has worked with Fortune 500 companies and taught globally, helping organizations optimize efficiency and improve customer service. His research, widely published in academic and practitioner journals, focuses on supply chain innovation, service quality, and project management strategies.
