• Work On Wilmington (WOW) Volunteer Application 2024

    Thank you for volunteering for Work on Wilmington! Our aim is "One Wilmington, Many Impacts" and with your application we are one step closer to realizing that vision. Please note the following critical announcements about this year's event:

    Date of Event: Work on Wilmington is Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 8:00am to 12:00pm, rain or shine (depending on project).

    Deadline: The deadline to sign up is 11:59pm Thursday, April 18. Sign ups after April 5 can not be guaranteed volunteer goodies.

    T-Shirts: If you are signing up to volunteer after February 23, we cannot guarantee that your requested T-shirt size will be available, but we will provide the next-closest size shirt. Thank you for your understanding.

    We appreciate your willingness to volunteer and we are looking forward to a productive Work on Wilmington Day! All volunteers must be 12 years or older and must be accompanied by a guardian if under the age of 18.

    Work on Wilmington is a program and event where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By volunteering, you consent to photography and/or video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by The Wilmington Chamber Foundation and its affiliates and representatives. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar events in the future, highlight the event and exhibit the capabilities of the program. *
    I do hereby release and forever discharge, indemnify, defend and hold harmless Work on Wilmington, the Greater Wilmington Chamber Foundation, the Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Wilmington, the owners and/or operators of the project sites and celebration site, and their respective directors, officers, members, agents, volunteers and employees, from any and every claim, demand, action and liability of whatever kind or nature arising from or by reason of death or bodily injury or personal injuries, known or unknown, or property damage resulting, or to result, from participation in Work on Wilmington projects or celebration on April 20, 2024. I know, understand, and appreciate these and other risks that are inherent to participation in Work on Wilmington and the celebration; I acknowledge that my participation (and my minor’s participation, if applicable) is voluntary; and I knowingly assume all such risks. *
